About this event
, Download the Tournament Information Sheet and Entry Form BMAI is hosting our annual in-school kata tournament to give our karate students an opportunity to learn about the performance aspect of karate. This is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their achievements and for family members to come show their support. Students of any age or rank may participate as long as they know a kata well enough to show it.
Performing a kata in front of other people is a huge confidence-builder, but can be terrifying, too! The purpose of this event is for the students to build their confidence in a familiar atmosphere with the support of people they know and trust. The judges for the event will be BMAI instructors who will do their utmost to make this a positive learning experience for everyone.
